OUR STORY
On the road to Damascus (ORD) is a Christian media ministry founded and led by Seongmin Oh, known online as Damascus.
Our name expresses a hope for an encounter. Paul was traveling to Damascus to persecute Christians when he met the risen Jesus on the road. We hope that people who pass through this space will encounter the Lord, too.
Damascus began in 2015 by translating international apologetics videos into Korean. Our work has since grown to explore questions of faith and popular culture. Today, through Damascus TV, writing, videos and in-person events, we help cultivate a culture of questioning and discussion within the Korean church and encourage wider conversations about religion across society.
Listening to the reasons people find belief difficult, and thinking them through together: that is where apologetics begins for us. Through books, Theology Select Shop, the competitive debate series Holy Combat and the live Agora events, we open spaces for people inside and outside the church to ask and learn together.
